In this video, Caregiver Speaker, Elaine K. Sanchez, www.LaineyPublishing.com, author of Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver, introduces you to her mother, Madelyn Kubin. Madelyn was a 70 year-old Kansas farm woman who had very poor health, and very little money when her husband suffered a debilitating stroke. One of the ways she survived her six-year caregiving experience was to write letters to Elaine. Tender, gritty, and uproariously funny, Madelyn’s letters tell a story of faith and courage and prove that even in the worst end-of-life situations there is still an opportunity for mental and spiritual growth. Elaine speaks at family caregiver conferences about caregiver anger, guilt, depression, and grief. She specializes in Alzheimer’s Caregivers. Elaine’s caregiver keynotes and workshops help people understand the importance of caring for the caregiver. The Caregiver Survival Tips in her videos are based on true stories in Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver. While difficult at times, providing caregiving services can be intensely rewarding. The need for this caregiving may arise from Alzheimer’s, a stroke, or from the natural progression of aging. In her caregiving keynote and workshop and through her audio program package you will gain insights into handling each stage of the caregiving process.
